Eric’s Home Birth, through His Brother’s Eyes
Upon returning home from kindergarten earlier this week, Miles (6) carefully presented me with a small stack of papers.
“Look at the story I wrote at school today, Mommy!”
Turns out that my six-year-old is far more efficient at completing Eric’s birth story than his mother is.
Maybe all I need is a box of crayons and a BOATLOAD OF CUTENESS.
First I went up for bed.
I was just about to go to sleep.
My mom was crying. Waaaaaaaaa.
Then my mom had the baby.
My aunt was reading to my brother Alec.
The end.

Oh my gosh, how cute!! Thanks for sharing
Oh how sweet! Your boys are such treasures!
short & sweet. What an awesome birth story.
SO SWEET! I love it.
Awesome!
The teacher in me who taught Writer’s Workshop for so many years LOVES this! Precious. Thanks for sharing!
Awww…just makes ya melt!!
Apparently he thought the baby looked a little purple? lol So cute!
That made me laugh too! I don’t know if the purple lines are supposed to be tears…or war paint.
Love love love. The spelling is precious – pure phonetics! Who designed the English language to be so counter-intuitive?!
I know! And I love that his teacher encourages them to use every single word they want to use (without caring all that much about the correct spelling). They do spelling exercises, of course, but the story-writing exercises are more about crafting stories and actually writing.
Yes. I love her.
I love it!
Seriously? What a way to brighten my day. =)
